Screening: KOSMICA Film – The Politics of the Void
KOSMICA Institute returns to Berlin with a special edition of KOSMICA Film, the long-running programme that explores the intersection of art, cinema, video art and Space. Since its inception in London in 2011, KOSMICA Film has brought together visionary artists from across the globe to offer poetic, critical and speculative perspectives on space travel and our relationship with the Cosmos.
Presented as part of the exhibition Cosmopolitics, this screening features nine short films by leading international artists who interrogate space colonisation, speculative cosmic trips, and our relationship with the skies above.
Through this curated selection of video art, short films and visual essays, we will navigate dreams, ruins, futures and resistances orbiting the great question: Who does the Cosmos belong to?

ABOUT KOSMICA FILM
KOSMICA Film is a curated programme of video art, experimental films and visual essays focused on space culture. Alongside screenings, we host artist talks, panel discussions, and special premieres, offering a kaleidoscopic approach to Space imaginaries.
This edition opens a dialogue with the themes of Cosmopolitics, challenging space conquest, rethinking extractivist narratives, and nurturing new planetary sensibilities.

The meeting point is the Kunstbrücke am Wildenbruch with a short guided tour in German through the exhibition with Clara von Schwerin. Afterwards we will go together to the Wolf Kino studio (Weserstr. 59, 12045 Berlin). The event in the cinema will be held in English.
