Finissage

To mark the closing of the exhibition Berlin, the Bitch and the Witch, Kunstbrücke am Wildenbruch invites you to its finissage. This is the final opportunity to visit the exhibition and experience the presented artistic positions once more within the exhibition space.

Drawing on Silvia Federici’s analysis of European witch hunts as an instrument of social control, the exhibition brings together artistic positions that understand magic as a method of resistance. The works question capitalist structures that shape and exhaust life in the urban environment. They turn their attention to suppressed forms of knowledge as well as to community, care, connectedness, and healing. Between fiction and reality, they open up perspectives on individual and collective strategies of survival, as well as new forms of togetherness.
